Initial and Final Assessments on Book Provision for Schools in Four INOVASI Partner Province

REDI was responsible for designing the framework analysis, provide feedback to the instruments (survey questionnaire and in-depth list of questions), undertake training for the field personnel, carry out the data collection process, and writing result and presentation of findings. The survey was carried out via face-to-face, but the interviews were carried out remotely over phone calls or Zoom meetings

REDI recruited 14 Enumerators and five (5) interviewers to complete the assignment. REDI also did the data analysis, identifying improvement occurs with the book provision initiatives, including in the access on books, reading habit, use of books by teachers and students, and policy from the district government to support and replicate the initiative using their own funds/resources and initiatives. Overall, for each of the studies, REDI collected data from 150 principals, 300 classroom teachers, 1,500 students, and around 50 key informants at the district and school level. In both assignments, REDI did the data analysis and writing reports, and prepared the PPT presentation of the findings.
