INOVASI 2017 School Survey in North Kalimantan

The objectives are to capture the student learning outcomes, classroom and school practices, as wellas contextual practices in pilot regions before the start of the program. For this task order, REDI carried out a baseline survey which was targeted to primary schools in INOVASI districts, and also potentially neighboring districts. The data collected was included, but not limited to:

(a) student learning assessments;
(b) teacher surveys and scenario-based assessments;
(c) classroom teaching observation in mathematics and Bahasa Indonesia;
(d) principal interviews and school resources, policies and practices inventory;
(e) parent and community surveys. The study implemented both quantitative and
qualitative data collection methods.

The baseline study took place in Kabupaten Malinau and Bulungan with 20 partner schools and a total number of 1,480 respondents participating in.
