INOVASI WO 04 School and Community Survey in West Nusa Tenggara

The objectives are to capture the student learning outcomes, classroom and school practices, as well as contextual practices in pilot regions before the start of the program. For this task order, REDI carried out a baseline survey based on its expertise and experience. The Innovation for Indonesia’s School Children (INOVASI) baseline data collection was targeted to primary schools in INOVASI districts, and also potentially neighboring districts.

 

The data collected was included, but not limited to: (a) student learning assessments; (b) teacher surveys and scenario-based assessments; (c) classroom teaching observation in mathematics and Bahasa Indonesia; (d) principal interviews and school resources, policies and practices inventory; (e) parent and community surveys. The study implemented both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. The baseline study took place in Lombok, Sumbawa & Bima with 51 partner schools and a total number of 4,131 respondents participating in.
