On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) held the Inauguration of six (6) ITS Professors, one of whom was Prof. Dr. Wahyu Wibowo, S.Si., M.Si. He was confirmed as a professor in the field of Regression Modeling. Since 2007, Prof. Dr. Wahyu Wibowo has been the Data Manager at REDI and has contributed greatly to various studies and research carried out by REDI through his expertise in sampling techniques, data analysis or modeling.
Located in the ITS Research Center Building Auditorium, Prof. Dr. Wahyu Wibowo, S.Si., M.Si delivered a scientific oration entitled ‘Semiparametric Spline: Strategy for Increasing Regression Modeling Accuracy in the Evidence-Based Decision Making (EBDM) Framework’.
Prof. Dr. Wahyu Wibowo SSi., MSi studied an appropriate method to increase the accuracy of regression modeling (an analytical method commonly used to see the influence between two or many variables) through a semiparametric spline approach. Strategy for Increasing the Accuracy of Regression Modeling in the EBDM Framework, the professor at the Department of Business Statistics, ITS Vocational Faculty, explained the importance of analyzing data. Currently, data analysis is the basis of the business decision-making process, better known as the EBDM concept.
